Proudly made in the USA, our proprietary 996/997->GM E38 Plug N' Play Engine Harness allows you to run ANY 58x Chevrolet LS based engine installed in a Porsche 996/997.  This harness will install onto the engine and plug into the factory Porsche chassis connectors located on the passenger side of the engine bay along w/ the GM E38 PCM.  The included header harness and CAN or A/C modulation box (dependent on application) will replace and accept the factory Porsche DME connections to provide an 100% plug n' play application w/ FULL gauge support (i.e. - oil temp, speedometer, tachometer, coolant temp, oil PSI, and CEL) and factory functionality including ABS, PSM, PASM (if equipped), and A/C.

This harness has been designed around a stock LS3 engine (‘10-‘15 Camaro SS application) so dependent on which 58x engine you run LS3 sensors/accessories may be needed.  With this product you'll recieve the following ...

- (1) 996/997->GM E38 Engine Harness

- (1) 996/997->GM E38 DME Header Harness

- (1) 996/997->GM E38 CAN (996.2/997.1)/A/C (996.1)  Modulation Box

NOTE:

Our 996.2/997.1 harnesses are currently SOLD OUT however a second production run is currently in progress; by ordering you acknowledge these will not ship until production is complete w/ a current ETA of April ‘23.

The '996.1 DBC (1999 ONLY)’ and ‘997.2 Non-Turbo/GT (‘09-‘12)’ variants are made to order w/ a lead time of EIGHT-TWELVE weeks and are non-refundable/non-returnable being they’re considered a custom item.  Your Porsche DME and engine harness chassis connectors will need to be mailed in/re-purposed for this product and creation will not begin until we receive those items.

996.1 (1999 ONLY):

Oil Pressure - Your Porsche oil PSI sending unit will need to be retained, the required adapter fitting for our oiling setup can be found here - https://www.chavisperformanceengineering.com/collections/peripheals/products/oil-psi-adapter-fitting).

Coolant Temp - Your Porsche ECT sensor will need to be retained (the required adapter fitting can be found here - https://www.chavisperformanceengineering.com/collections/peripheals/products/ect-adapter-fitting).

996.1 (‘00-‘01):

Oil Pressure - Your Porsche oil PSI sending unit will need to be retained, the required adapter fitting for our oiling setup can be found here - https://www.chavisperformanceengineering.com/collections/peripheals/products/oil-psi-adapter-fitting).

Coolant Temp - Your Porsche ECT sensor will need to be retained (the required adapter fitting can be found here - https://www.chavisperformanceengineering.com/collections/peripheals/products/ect-adapter-fitting).

Chassis Wiring - While these MY cars utilize the DBW DME they do not utilize canbus, as a result you will need to re-pin multiple wires at your DME connectors for harness functionality (instructions included).

996.2 (‘02-‘04)

GM E38 PCM NOT INCLUDED.  GM E38 PCM w/ OS 12633238 required for 100% compatibility.  Due to liability reasons cruise control (on equipped vehicles) is NOT supported.
